We are pleased to announce that East Coast Sailboats will be the official US Nacra Catamarans Sailing Test Center. We operate our test center out of the same location as our partner business Nor’Banks Sailing and Watersports, located in Duck NC. This site provides a great destination to sail on the Currituck Sound; a professional watersports location with options for the family while boats can be tested, an onsite restaurant and a sunset bar for those late days on the water.
Session structure
Each session will last about two hours. Additional hours can be booked as needed. Once checked in we will provide PFD and helmet (if needed) and head over to the boat. Each sailor is to bring their personal gear with them. Shoes or booties are required.
The boat will be rigged with the sails down. Once you are ready, we will do an overview of the boats, its features, and its capabilities. With your participation, we will finish rigging the boat and head into the water for the sailing session. Once sailing is complete, we will roll the boat out of the water and do a debrief and answer any questions or comments you may have.
We open May 1st through October 31st.

2hr session @ $265 per session
Add additional hours @ $99/hr
Session fee includes the sailboat, PFD’s, helmets, instructor/coach and a separate coach boat if needed.
Please note that we reimburse your fee should you purchase a boat.
