East Coast Sailboats is hiring an Operations Associate!  We are looking for an individual passionate about sailing and interested in a growth position in our company. We provide both Mono hull and Catamaran sailboats and equipment to recreational sailors, sailing clubs, sailing schools and our growing network of dealers to promote the sport of sailing. Our facility is in Point Harbor, NC located in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Operations Associate Responsibilities

1) Warehouse Management

• Receipt of inbound packages, trucks, and containers
• Warehouse inventory management- boats, parts, and equipment
• Order Fulfillment

2) Boat assembly, rigging, and tuning

• Packing of boats- boats, parts, and accessories
• Trailer set up, prep, and tie down
• Pickup and delivery coordination with customers
• Trailered boat deliveries- local and regional

3) Trade, Boat shows, regatta

• Preparation and planning
• setup and participation

4) Fleet boat maintenance pre/post season

• Set up and prep Sailing Camp boats
• End of season breakdown and storage

5) There is opportunity for development into other areas of the business based on performance and interest

Job Requirement

• Must have some knowledge of sailboats and interest in boating
• Must have some experience using hand tools and power tools
• Physically fit and able to do lifting
• Must have a positive attitude and be respectful to customers
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record; experience pulling trailers
• Education-2-year college minimum, 4 year preferred.

Compensation

• Full time position
• Salary based on experience
• Three weeks PTO
• Benefits- TBD
• Use of fleet boats
