2017 Sailing camps were a success
|I wanted to send out a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ from myself and the camp staff (Sam, Robert, Anne and Michael) for a great summer. We had over 90 campers sail with us this summer in Duck and Southern Shores. For the first time we had a waiting list for all our camps. Our new location in Southern Shores proved to be a good choice in that we had options for too much wind and options for no wind. Our Duck location is always a lot of fun and we enjoy interacting with our visitors as they come and watch the kids sail.
As we wrap up for the summer and put the boats away we have a chance to remember all the faces we met this summer. The joy in the campers eyes as they sailed for the first time, the smiles when they were able to tie a particular knot and the laughter we heard as they played in and out of the water. Sailing camp is about having fun, learning to sail and making new friends.
We look forward to having your child at camp next year as well as new campers. As always we look forward to improving our camps each year and look forward to receiving feedback from our campers and parents. Our Intro to Sailing 3-day camp was a suggestion by a grandparent from last year. If you have a chance to send us a note, please do. We would like to see what worked well for your child, new ideas and suggestions for improvement for 2018. We look forward to hearing from you.
Again, Thank you for having your child attend sailing camp with us and we look forward to seeing them next year.
